The doctor comes in and confirms what you already know, "you're pregnant". Now the question becomes will you and the new life you are carrying value life; your life as the mother, the child's life and the lives of the people you touch.
A few days ago the United States experienced violence so horrific that it will take years for the cloud to clear from our hearts and minds. Someone pulled a gun and took life from so many people both young and old. What must his mother be feeling? I am certain she did not raise her son to be a killer but something did go wrong for this young adult.
We as mothers must work as hard as we can to recognize the pain in the eyes of our children. Take the time to establish a method of communicating with your young adults even though they may no longer live at home. Visit with them even though they may seem disinterested and encourage them to interact with you whenever possible.
Pray for your children and my children, every life step they take is filled with stumbling blocks that can change who they are in an instant.
